Black Male Accountability: What Is Asked of Our Men

There is a deliberate campaign to divide the sexes. The party rejects it, and states what it asks of Black American men.

The position, stated plainly

There is a deliberate campaign in play to divide the sexes. The Black American Party opposes the destructive influence of feminism and gender confusion, and holds that Black American men and women are allies with a shared interest rather than parties to a dispute.

That stated, a party which rejects the war between our men and women is obligated to say what it asks of each. This chapter states what is asked of the men. The companion chapter states what is asked of the women, and neither is a concession extracted by the other.

Why the division is worth naming

The most reliable way to neutralize a population is to set its halves against one another, and the Black American man and the Black American woman have been the subject of that effort for a long time. Whole commercial industries now run on it - programming, publishing, and an enormous online economy that sells our men and our women each a daily supply of contempt for the other and monetizes the fight.

Notice who profits. Not us. A community arguing with itself buys nothing together, builds nothing together and bargains for nothing together. It is the cheapest possible method of political neutralization and it is being applied to us at scale.

What this party asks of Black American men

Be there. Not as a check, and not as a weekend. Present, in the house, in the school meeting, at the doctor's appointment, in the boy's life at the age when he is deciding what a man is. Presence is the irreplaceable contribution and no amount of provision substitutes for it.

Provide, and build something that outlasts you. The economics section of this platform is addressed to you directly. Own something. Insure your life. Write a will. A man who works for forty years and leaves nothing transferable has been a good employee and has not been a founder of anything.

Protect, in the full sense. Your household, your street, your elders, and the reputation of the women in your community - including in how you speak about them in rooms where they are not present, and in what you buy, stream and repeat.

Answer for what you do. Every child you make. Every promise you make. A man who requires excuses to be made for him is asking the women around him to carry a second load on top of the one they already have.

Accountability is not the same as accusation

This platform documents at length what has been done to the Black American man - the wage stripped out of his neighborhoods, the incarceration pipeline, the schools that never taught him, the century of imagery that made him into a warning label. Nothing in this chapter retracts a word of it.

But a man is not only what was done to him. Structural analysis explains the terrain; it does not walk the road. This party refuses both halves of the usual bargain - the version that says our men are simply victims and asks nothing of them, and the version that says the conditions are their fault and asks nothing of the country.

We ask both. We always have.
